The children of fourth grade have been learning about the histroy of Spain. And of course, we have talked about the Romans. After reading books, watching videos and investigating at home, we were ready to make our very own Roman city. First they decided which items to include; walls, aqueduct, forum, temple, market, coliseum, basilica, etc…. and then they planned their city. When they were ready, they put it all down on a large peice of cardboard. Some of the designs were in 3D! We had a lot of fun and the children learnt a lot about how cities were in Roman times.
